I’m very excited to announce I am partnering with Tigerair to run a fun local hot spots competition. The GO LIKE A LOCAL competition gives one lucky entrant the chance to win 1x $250- TigerAir Voucher – from my search this morning that is more than two return flights to Queensland from Sydney.

HOW TO ENTER:

To enter it’s as easy as making a cuppa – head to your instagram and share your love for a local fave spot. I will share one of mine below as an example and will also share it on MY INSTAGRAM. Now it doesn’t have to be purely food – what about a favourite spot on a beach, your favourite walking trail, book store, garden, museum and so on. As long as you share a local spot and add the following tags you are in with a chance to WIN WIN WIN. #GoLikeALocal #SpooningtheTiger @tigerairaustralia @SpooningAustralia

For ideas beyond my fave local foodie spot head to the Go Like a Local page at Tigerair – CLICK HERE. And while you are there plan your next holiday or where you will book your prize destination by checking out their Domestic Flights. They are so affordable – I will be booking my flights to Queensland with them for my holiday later in the year.

TIEN’S HOT BREAD – DEE WHY

I visited a local legend over the weekend with Cecelia, my co-host from our Where’s The Food? Series. I had to introduce her to my all time favourite #GoLikeALocal hotspot. Tien’s Hot Bread has been operating out of a small bakery in Dee Why for THIRTY YEARS!! Traditionally a pork roll is Vietnamese but Lila makes them Cambodian style. Sure, she can make you a standard Vietnamese pork roll but wouldn’t you like to try a Cambodian Lemongrass Pork Roll or how about a Sticky Honey Pork Roll? Every single roll she sells is only $6 and the rolls are baked in-house!

They are an institution on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and on weekdays you will find long queues. And it is possible you won’t find the same rolls every day, Lila makes all the different Cambodian stews for the rolls pending on availability, freshness and whatever she feels like. You will want to hug this amazing woman after a visit. If you are ever in the Dee Why area be sure to head in and say hello to Lila while ordering a roll to feast on!! Oh – and after 30yrs they are about to move across the road into a new venue in Dee Why. Looking forward to the new digs!!

I reviewed Tien’s years and years ago – check out my review HERE.
